Coronation Street's much loved actress,
Betty Driver has died at the old age of
91 years! Betty was in hospital when she
died peacefully in her sleep in the early
hours of this morning.
The actress played The Rovers Return's
longterm barmaid, Betty Williams, for
42 years in the hit ITV television soap.
The Coronation Street cast have lost
a close friend and a dear colleague.
In December 2009, the cast lost the
much loved Maggie Jones, who died
at the age of 75, she played Blanche
on the hit TV soap.
Betty and Maggie played 2 of the best
long-established characters on
Coronation Street.
Everyone will miss them dearly.
R.I.P Betty & Maggie.
