I think the whole world was shocked when we
learnt of the passing of one of Hollywood's
finest actors, Peter Falk, best known for his
role as the much loved, Lieutenant Columbo!
Mr. Falk passed away at his home in
Los Angeles last month.
The 83 year old Hollywood veteran had
been suffering from Alzheimers-Dementia
since 2007. However the latest news is that
in his final days Mr.Falk had developed
pneumonia. He had taken a break from
public life in recent years due to his
failing health.
I think a lot of Peter Falk's personality
came through his on-screen persona.
Like Columbo, Falk had a great sense
of humour and was highly intelligent.
He's left a huge legacy! Columbo
is one of the most successful
TV series of all time, filmed over
almost 3 decades! That's down
to Peter Falk's dedication to
the role that made him a global
star! We miss you Peter!
Columbo will continue to
live on forever!
